Ive had good luck using brake clean to soften and remove that horrible baked on dirt on rubber stuff. Its misery, but worth it.

Sure you don't want to give your rear struts the spray treatment? @bmxnz11 had some really good looking paint on his suspension stuff, done in his garage. Looked mint. Maybe hit him up or atleast check out his escort build thread (the orange one not the blue one).
Seems a bit of a shame since you've gone the whole nine yards on everything else to not go that little bit further. (Not that I'm in any position to make such claims haha)

Oh if I do end up running these rears for sure they'll get properly cleaned up and painted.  It'll be done after they come back from modding them to take gas inserts.

Also in that case I'll also go ahead and source some new bellows and probably new front hats.

Either that or it'll all be moot when new XYZ's turn up in the post... ;)

I admire you tackling the steering box! I hate those kind of jobs.

I hated the paint stripping and prep but otherwise I actually enjoyed it, especially reassembly! Though super glad it has a big green tick next to it now

Suspension looks good. Might want to check with your certifier about the amount of shock that needs to be threaded into the strut, pretty sure it's 50mm as per your manual. May have been thread diameter too though... been a while since I crossed that bridge. Just handy to know as that will drop you another 20mm.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Love your work.

An inspiration to get out and do stuff.

Color is rad! This thing is going to be so choice when it's done!

Thanks! Even though it came out so bad? :')

I love the colour too, so happy with it
