Popular Post yoeddynz
Popped to the wreckers today to look through their alternators for the flat six project and found some round treasures.. 15 x 7 ET37 Italian made Momos. Trial fitting. I think they'll work With 195/50 they are 3mm bigger than the 175/70s that roll nicely and the speedo is spot on with. 14

Popular Post yoeddynz
Sadly those wheels I found were just not meant to be. When I went back to get a tyre fitted I double checked the other rims on the balancing machine and discovered that two were bent- one really badly to a point I'd not want to attempt to rescue. So that sucks. Back to the search then. In other news @Sanfiddy came round and helped us take Mollys skeleton to the grave. Once there at the dump Hannah and I stripped off the doors which will be heading to @Willdat? and the hatch as a spare for when the a ford ranger (insert other penis enlarging device) backs to into our tiny car at the supermarket because he cant see beyond the girth of his massive machine. We also grabbed the front struts, rear springs and steering rack. The front springs from this G#/autostrada model I have discovered have a higher rate. The steering rack might possibly be geared higher - it showed 100mm less travel at the rim lock to lock. Even if it isn't actually quicker, and I can't yet find any definitive proof on internets that there is a quicker rack on some but for rumours that the UK super S / JDM G# might be so equipped. Anyway- its still good to keep a spare. We were both a little sad to see Molly sitting there, soon to be turned into a Nissan Cube. She was actually a solid as little car, a rare model at that, with which only half a day of work would have made roadworthy. But can't turn back time and the goal was always a 2 door yellow PFL which is now even better equipped than we first dreamed. Mollys heart and other organs live on in Minky and Milly anyway 15 1

Popular Post yoeddynz
Well having just one K11 didn't last very long then. While we were having a bbq and entertaining guests the other night I got a call from @Sanfiddy to say he had just picked up a March and wondered if I'd like to buy it from him. It had failed its wof on rust. Rego is on hold. "hmmmmm? " I hummed as I moved away from the bbq area out of earshot. He then says some magic words... "its a manual and I think it might be a 1.3...oh and its a 2 door. Plus it's got spotlights in the front spoiler" I glance over at Hannah, innocently sitting there unaware of what I was about to do. I'm sure she'll understand I say to myself. I'll tell her later. Maybe in the morning.. "yes - I'll buy it! " So he sent me some photos via messenger and I checked them out like a husband might look at porn when the wife is out shopping* and looked its rego up on carjam for any extra details I might gain. Sadly it was a facelift model but hey- very hard to win them all in this game. Hannah ended up finding out about it before we went to bed and luckily she did not kill me. In fact she was quite excited because we could have some fun tidying it up and hopefully turn in a decent profit when we sell it on to an enthusiast in the making.. So this afternoon we drove out to collect it. We roll up and the first thing I spot is the rear spoiler. Next thing I was happy to confirm after having spotted the potential from the photos I'd been sent was the black dash. I have never seen a black dash on a facelift. In fact the only black dash equipped k11 I have seen so far is our setup we scored. Next thing we spotted was that this little K11 (Meredith?) has sports seats just like what we have fitted into Minky! But these have a even nicer colour and are in great condition, with matching door cards Sadly the rear seat does not split so hannah instantly said no to my idea of swapping the lot over Hannah pays Sanford the money, much like an addict pays for their fix... Meanwhile I scamble about underneth to see what other treats she might be hiding. Rear disc brakes? Sadly no. But hey - uprated rear dampers (well ok- I'm basing this fact purely on them having stickers on them with some branding) and lowering springs (but quite possibly just Makita one ways) which have her sitting at about the same height as Minky. The cars battery was dead so we brought along a spare we'd kept from Molly and sat it into our new K11 (Mildred?) Started sweet as and sounded good- possibly a dry bearing on one of the fan belt idlers. We drive in convoy to the supermarket. It drives really really well !!! Neat. Its a bit bouncy- in that fun sort of slightly over sprung way that a boyracer car does when fitted with cutties. We manage to score parking spot side by side at the super market for maximum coo value from all the punters as they walk by and spot the two little k11s parked together (in my world this happens).. We drive home. I was going to put some extra fuel in it because its a bit low but when I arrived at our local station there was a line of paranoid idiots waiting to fuel up after having heard ominous tales of further fuel price rises. So we continue homeward. I have some fun on our hillclimb racetrack road tailing a flash bmw coupe that couldn't shake me. Little cars, willing little revvy hearts = such fun Took some photos once home. These driving lights work and look neat.. Sporty seats. Funky patterns... Black dash goodness. Steering wheel looks like a Primera item? Bit of rust on the wing/guard. There's a bit on one door as well. Nothing major though. Now inside where I'll hoist it into the air and sort out the rusty front crossmember.. Then give it a good clean, replace the missing trip around the screen (it has a windscreen chip that has been repaired) and we can advertise it for sale. I'm just stoked we saved her (Martha? Yes !!! Martha Hannah's has a sister named Martha. Perfect) because there was a strong chance this car was going to end up crushed. *I would never look at such things. Honest. Edit:I've been informed by a few k11 boffins on Facebook that it is a facelift g#. So quite a score then.
