Button mashing presently but hope to find the right pipe soon Hi Steve! Markku here, welcome to oldschool . I see you've figured out how to upload pics to the forum. I'll work out a good way for us to share photos and videos soon. Also welcome to @Whoopeecock and @Tyla - was great riding with you two over the weekend. I was on the red MX100 (sorry for splashing you on Mt Patriarch Jeff ). 3 hours ago, Mof said: I haven't seen any pictures from Maungatapu, were you all just too busy holding on/falling off? This is basically it. I got a couple of pics and vids from the top, but was too busy holding on / nanging first gear to stop for photos. Here's my small selection of videos from the weekend. Happy to share them if anyone wants to add them to an edit. 13
Popular Post Hungry
Huge thanks to all the top blokes who organised this ride and support crew with the awesome daily lunches from the off-road food trailer. Great to meet an awesome group of riders. Also thanks to fellow Monkey man Jeff for sharing the details of this event with me. I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing three day route, riding to places I never thought I’d ride the Monkey bike, and over the most varied terrain. Whilst the Monkey did very well and was a comfortable ride, I was riding it as hard as I could and at times it was a mission to keep up with the rest of you. The 12-inch wheels and unforgiving stock suspension proved challenging in the potholed sections and gave limited control on some of the looser gravel – great fun though and I can’t wait to do this again next time! My clutch got a good workout particularly going up the Maungatapu track and trying to keep the front wheel down. Cheers again Sean 8
Chunky_t
Also thanks @Whoopeecock for letting me have a hoon on your monkey (don’t say that sentence out loud if you don’t want any sideways looks), they’re a pretty sweet rig and my only regret was not testing out the abs haha. Whoopeecock
Guys, I feel I’ve hijacked this ride a bit by posting the photos on a couple of Facebook groups. Most of you have seen I shared in Small Bike Runs and Moped NZ. I also shared on the local and national adventure bike pages, just to show them you don’t need $20,000 KTMs with all the toys. Those guys are loving what we’ve done, and now I’ve had requests from both Kiwi Rider to do a Zoom interview and NZ Bike Rider Magazine want some words put together for their magazine. Who’s the official media spokesperson for this bunch of motley hooligans? There must be a good wordsmith among us? And do you think we can wrangle sponsorship from Double Brown for next year? 4 1

Popular Post johnnyfive
My opinion is questionable, and probably not wanted, but I think the media needs more Bart Simpson in its life. 14 4

To be completely honest they could just be directed to this thread!
