kyteler Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I like that the original DABUZZ was the silhouette used for the original oldschool.co.nz logo. 5 Quote
maxted Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Allways loved your rx4 coupe, look forward to seeing what you have done on the rx2 so far 1 Quote
Bistro Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 A car definitely worth saving! Can't wait to see the progress. DABUZZ RX4 is iconic. 2 Quote
Valiant Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Really enjoying your thread, I was hooked at 9" and Astrons tbh. It looked like things were going so well, share some pics of where you're up to now, it might be therapeutic? I think everyone who has had a project car has been let down by someone somewhere along the line. It's par for the course. 2 1 Quote
nzstato Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 I do like a build thread with some hardcore metal work in it.... Watching. 2 Quote
oldrx7 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Man, terrible luck with the cashie panel job ... it'll all be worth it in the end I'm sure. Many others would have just given up by now I'm sure. 1 Quote
dabuzz Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 Way too far down the rabbit hole now to stop, just have to keep going! @Valiant if I had you at 9 inch/astrons, you might be a little disappointed after my next post, Haha. Body work log is pretty much updated, so will show where the mechanicals are at next 1 Quote
Bistro Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Just now, dabuzz said: Anyway, the car will be going back factory white and I like the old school feel, so I had the 'racing' stripes reproduced to be fitted at a later stage. Yus! Big fan of this idea! 1 1 Quote
rb drifter Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Love the quality of this build man! And your styling, looking forward to seeing more content 1 Quote
dabuzz Posted April 19, 2020 Author Posted April 19, 2020 Thanks, I've always dreamt of doing a nut and bolt resto, I tried many years ago on another car but I got over my head and sold it. I wont do it again either too time consuming, but I'm determined to make this build the best I possibly can. 6 Quote
kiwi808 Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 This is going to look soooo good with the squashed nosed 808 front on it! 1 1 Quote
Cullen Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Bloody good stuff. What's the deets on the front and rear shocks and springs? Off the shelf and modified? Quote
dabuzz Posted April 20, 2020 Author Posted April 20, 2020 Ah yea, should have mentioned that, they are off the shelf super low cobra springs, and KYB shocks, once the car is on its feet and getting close to completion I'll get the shocks shortened to suit, at the mo I already know the nose will sit too high Quote
maxted Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Really cool what you have done so far, nice work. going to be such a nice car when you finish it. 1 Quote
rot808 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Very keen to see/hear that twin dizzy fire up 1 Quote
MRWEST Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 So good man, doing a epic job! Feel your pain on the steelwork the impala was so poked, been down that track and it hurts the wallet and mind thats for sure. 1 Quote
cletus Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 nice work! do you have a way of doing the zinc coating yourself? or are you on very good terms with a local business haha I like the "factory improved'' theme, that air cleaner is neat 3 Quote
