The previous owner @Bearded Baldy who shall remain nameless skimmed the head whilst wearing a visible g banger peaking out over his jeggings. If that didnt scare the head into hugging the block out of fright then chemseal wont do much.

I measured both today whilst bored and the ed33 wont fit (too long) but the chev would with a radiator mod. 

A 3.8 fits easily with the weird front sump too. 

Wonder how hard the EFI 2l is to wire up. Im always fiddling with the weber. 🤔

6bolt crank efi has cam sensor on back of head with not enough firewall clearance unless you slot the engine mounts.

Mid 90s 7bolt dohc efi should have cam and crank on the front.

I have a folder on pc full of info and pictures. Will send it to you for some light reading.

Used to be a site called hotrod coffeeshop or something like that, that had wiring pinouts and stuff.

Manifold needs throttle body flange swapped end to end or use an Evo4 intake on the '7bolt' head.

Swap the ute ring gear onto the frontwheeldrive flywheel should negate any starter motor alignment issues.

I think that is the basics of it.

@lush would be a fountain on knowledge on the subject, and can tell you everything i just said is wrong lol.

It's all getting into the to hard basket. I might just whip the head off and take it in to get reconditioned. Hoping that being an iron block the block isn't the issue. 
I need to get a fan shroud or electric fans on the radiator too. Not that I recall it ever overheating but there is a mile between the fan and the rad and I'm ntot sure that does anything.

Theres actually also a long and short fan iirc, also a pajero jr fan shroud should fit

The machine shop said to drop the head off on Wednesday. Technically I did.
