kyteler
L31 = 308 (standard compression) M41 = Turbo-Hydra-Matic 400 three speed column or console shift auto. Replaced in May 1979 by Turbo-Hydra-Matic 350 G80 = LSD G73 = Heavy Duty/10 Bolt Diff
kyteler
That's just from a quick google search, the diff codes I'm not completely 100% on but everything else should be pretty accurate unless the internet is lying.
PeteHZ
Thanks for that, so I take T is for a original V8, I'm looking at buying this ute, it has a twin headlight front too would this be period correct? Just asking as it has LVVTA cert plate, not the original plate

kyteler
I think the twin fronts were only on GTS, Premiers, Statesman and Sandmans but I can't be sure on that. With that said though, easy enough to swap a nose, etc. and I guess it would potentially be possible to have been optioned with it given the range of other models that had it. Thank's for all your help, would you know where the best place to buy new panels like a front nose cone etc?
