Steelies Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 yeah sweat meat, cheers all. oh, put new modern/injection fuel filter and some fresh line in the wag, stripped and cleaned carb as far as i could including finding a little culprit in some tube with a small hole that has long been a place to find crud. snuck a little greased gasket paper washer on one end of the throttle plate shaft, and checked carb against a spare i have... whats that hose tail? shit, what looked like an unused casting feature was actually a hole for a missing vac connection tail that has clearly disappeared somewhere in the past. fuckin thing has been gargling air like Al's mum does DNA paste, for some time i'm guessing. plugged it, sealed everything up and it's idling nice and low now. no guarantees but good to find some problems. cheers for the advices last night.     7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
