MitchP
Quick and small query to anyone in the know... Is there a photo or idea as to what to use for a 16L colt boot seal? Seal is on the boot, but looking for the seal that's glued to the body of the car. Any ideas? (It'd for this I've had painted)
locost_bryan
Nice car. My sister had one back in the '80s. Do you have the original seal, or is it missing? Basis in Blenheim would be a good starting place for rubber seals https://basisnz.co.nz/ - they don't have the 16L listed, but they really know their stuff. Listing for seal 322.030 here http://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/MITSUBISHI CHRYSLER GALANT GA-GB-GC-GD 1971-77.htm Same one is mentioned for GTO boot in this thread
kws
If you knew what the original seal profile looked like, there are heaps of options on ebay
dwlee
When I was looking for boot rubber for the GTO Basis were very helpful, but at that time (2012) they didn't have anything that fitted correctly. I ended up using the one from Scotts old auto rubber and did does the job pretty well, but it was tight until the rubber settled down.
dabuzz
go to para rubber, they have heaps of different sizes, and will normally give you a sample if needed

MitchP
Used the Scotts auto rubber part number, asked Basis after checking profile, arrived as overnight delivery, south island, 4m $90 including shipping. Has metal tracks in it so it pushed on and holds very well Part number 322.030 is a x 4m cut length of 322.006, which they had on a roll Used maybe 3.5m
