Nice work on the switches, its quite a satisfying job! Be careful with getting into them with sandpaper though, if the contacts are plated at all, it can make them worse, grab yourself one of these fancy fibreglass pens

They polish up the contacts without disturbing any plating etc and have the bonus of being easier on curved surfaces than sandpaper.

Im pretty sure these predate any sort of plating, but I might grab one of those for the future anyway. Cheers

Good idea to change the rear hose. Those particular ones with the textured outer were original equipment on a lot of cars in the 70s and 80s and they can be quite deteriorated without showing any signs of perishing on the outside like a 'normal' hose

Might cut the old one open and see what I can see then. Certainly agree it looks like the original 40 year old hose.

You may just fall in love with the 650i!

Either that or the previous owner knows something you don't and is willing to trade it for a more reliable TVR haha

Hope not on both accounts!

New owner of the tvr is in for a surprise I think. I suspect his mechanical abilities might be limited, poor tvr might end up at the "specialist" again.

Im pleased to hear someone else is giving KJet a shot. Too many people hear "its impossible to work with" or "dont touch it or you will ruin it" and are scared to work with it, but its not that bad. Im not much of a phone person, but feel free to PM me or email me via https://tasteslikepetrol.net/contact/

Be worth removing your number too, just in case spammers grab it.
