rusty360
Hi all, I'm finally going to install the electronic dizzy I brought for my EH wagon. I've got to bypass the ballast resistor wiring so the new dizzy sees 12v all the time. But I'm not sure what type of coil to buy? Is the old one doesnt sound like it will be up to the job. How many ohms do I need? Cheers rusty
Valiant
Three 0hms. That's what you need.

Ghostchips
1.5 Ohms was for points with ballast wasn't it?

sr2
Is it an aftermarket dizzy or one from a VB - VK Commodore?

cletus
Dunno if it's the right ohms But I've always had good results with msd blaster coils
Esky_addict
I put a msd dizzy in my holden, not sure if EH are wired the same but I just ran a wire from the back of an accessory fuse to the coil for when it's running and kept the original ballast wire hooked up to power coil while cranking. I used a msd blaster aswell but any non ballast coil should be sweet.
