Nearly got the all the running gear on the Austin sorted. Will give an update soon. I know, I know. Some progress, have got a bit of the actual bodywork done, and have started painting some of the fenders and lower panel work. Hopefully the wheels will go on soon and then the internal floor etc will go in. Should come together fairly quickly after that. (WW2 German next to it for scale) Of course, me being a big brained genius, I decided to get even more kits for the stash (I'm totally going a basic, no interior kit next time!), price was pretty good: 9 Quote
Popular Post CarolsHusband Posted January 19 Popular Post Posted January 19 Ooh, gotta love an '88. I look forward to that. It's chassis time here too, though I'll probably have to shelve it for a bit as it's too cold to spray gloss at the moment. Maybe do something olive drab until the weather warms up. Added a few airlines/cables to this. Probably not anywhere near accurate. Bothered.... 11 Quote
Popular Post Thphantum Posted January 20 Popular Post Posted January 20 Bit more on my chassis. Mack R model. Was a tandem drive. Converting to single.Cut the chassis down then realised I'd cut too much so had to cut some back on. Made a headache rack out of bits and pieces. Had a logging pole trailer bolsters and drawbar. The rest is from the parts box. Piggy back mudguard set up is from auslowe. Took quite a bit of concentration to set up. Painted with red oxide before the colour so I can sand back to simulate rust. Will add a few more dings and dents. 12 Quote
CarolsHusband Posted January 29 Posted January 29 This is about all I can do until the thermometer gets above 10 degrees. Interim project announcement pending. 8 Quote

Kenworth? I made a White Road Boss back in my teens. Unfortunately I left all the models I had made at my mum's place when I moved cities, and it looks like they all got binned when she moved house (unless they got stashed in the ceiling). Another of life's regrets... 3 Quote

CarolsHusband Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Evening. The K-wopper has been parked up until the weather is warmer & I've decided what colour scheme it'll have. It's gonna be somewhere on the blue/silver/gold spectrum. Or black & gold. And maybe some white. I don't have a clue TBH. Anyway, I've got started on a cheap & cheerful re -eleased Tamiya offering. So much nostalgia. M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage, or " Meat Chopper" as it was affectionately known. I'm going to have a bash at some battle damage. Actually, lots of battle damage. It'll be proper fucked. Wish me luck. 5 1 Quote
