The nights ate drawing in so I'm looking forward to a bit more model time.

Chevy got finished.

It doesn't look too bad IRL, but you'd never guess from the pictures.

Halftrack is coming along, very slowly.

I got a late birthday present off the boy today, it's really nice and has so many optional parts it's unreal.

Aoshima do four Hako kits so I'm guessing they supply either a 4 door or coupe shell & different wheels, and the rest is common to every kit. Cheap as chips too.

/will trade again.

I spent a whopping 5 pounds on a set of Chi-an-eez detail brushes from Amazon. Best fiver ever.

Upper hull done, just needs some abuse. Nearly there I reckon....

I had these masks left over from another kit. Pretty handy as they allow a bit of patina to be added unlike the decals & so fit in a bit better with my "style", shall we say...

Should look ok once they're covered in shite.

I'll have to start thinking about a bananarama for it next as there'll be tracks & wheels & stuff lying around.

Well you inspired me to have a crack at this patina malarkey.

I painted all parts with red ochre first to simulate surface rust. then colour. Sand Back the colour lightly in places to reveal surface rust.

Still a lot more to go but I think it's gunna work. Trying to simulate dents too and some road grime.

That'll be fun. I'm yet to feel comfortable doing the 1/25 patina so I look forward to your  results. Not sure if it should be easier or harder when the vehicles are bigger.

Just need to finish the base & tracks and then nail it all together.

I decided to make the base a bit bigger as it was looking a bit cramped.

Also, the care package arrived from Canadia, photo etch for the 1/25 AMT D8 Cat. I've been main-lining Diesel Creek videos on YouTube so it's going to be proper fucked.

Nice work @CarolsHusband, guilt-tripping me into doing some work on my own kits. Nearly got the all the running gear on the Austin sorted. Will give an update soon.
