I managed to get a good price on a piece that I've wanted for a while.

HKS IPM (Injector pluse monitor) has and adjustable alarm you can set to a specific Injector duty %

In short - flashing lights and buzzing sounds. Perfect interior accessory. 20220113_114543.thumb.jpg.e3d19ad39290337fa20c5dcf920dd4a9.jpg

I'm thinking this will replace either the additional Injector Controller or Boost controller in the glovebox panel. I'm needing to remake the panel as there are a few things I want to change

Have been working on refinishing the beetle earlier centre caps. They originally have a chrome finish but since they are 40 odd years old the set of 5 were all in various states. I hit them with vht wrinkle black and sanded off the faces of the logo.  They look good from far.

I did try spraying some silver on some cardboard and pressing them down kind of like a stamp but it made a mess. Lucky there are 5...20220129_192759.thumb.jpg.3ce922713b1c2159628e053c8915143f.jpg

I did a bit of work on this a few months back to try get a warrant and fine tune some suspension bits but it didn't really pan out so it's just been sitting. I also sold the Bridgestone tr-3 to a friend who needed something quick to build his car around.

Purchased some of these beams! 40mm roll centre adjusters from Australia

Installed the new rear springs. 20220703_130909.thumb.jpg.fdb0eac329731b3df94c9db3b8959a1c.jpg

Adjusted shock a bit more after photo to get spring captive.  Was still able to get required droop ~40mm.

Height installed was exact same as previous bc springs. The idea with these is that you trim the tightly bound section to get desired height.

Went to go for a test drive but battery was flat.

Decided I need to finalize my tyre sizes before I go cutting expensive springs.
