Dry ice for removing sound deadening

I bought mine from BOC in Wellington but had to order it the day before. (may depend on your branch)
Cost me $50 or so for 5kg and it came in a polystyrene box so you shouldn't need a chilly bin.
I don't think it was much more for 10kg so figure out if you think you can do it with just 5kg before putting in an order.
See my build thread to see how much 5kg of dry ice is, I put about 80% on one side of the car where most of the sound deadening was.

Go in on friday before a long weekend, if you're nice they might pile the shit in because it wont last the weekend. i paid $20 for like 10kg to cool things at hawkes boes one year.

*note* if you do this , dont open the box it comes in if you have food and beer in the chilly bin , the beers will go from warm to frozen solid in about 15 mins.

When I got some I went to BOC Sockburn with a chilly bin, no worries. I didn't get a huge amount, it lasts ages. So put it in a few supermarket bags and move it around the floor occasionally. Do it outside with a breeze so the gas can't accumulate inside your garage / house etc.
