Popular Post HighLUX
When you have a midlife crisis you buy a Harley and ride off into the sunset with the wind in your hair but when you have a quarter life crisis you buy something that makes you feel young again that also fits your budget/requirements. BEHOLD 49cc of Suzuki 2 stroke fury in the form of a late 90s TS50 Its basically brand new as the odo on the super optimistic speedo shows Old owner tried to register it but had a mare of time so gave up and its just been sat in the shed for a few years. Needs the carb cleaned out as it wont idle and Im hoping that helps the already lacklustre performance too. Plans are fit a few dress up bits like less ugly indicators and brake light. LED bulb for the headlight to help see through walls and some prettier/more agressive tyres, so some suggestions on tyres and Ali spec lights would be good. Once I take in my correctly filled out MR2B form and gain a number plate I will collect the bits required to swap on a 70cc barrel kit, spanny and muffler plus upgrade to a 24mm carb with Malossi adaptor because the current carb is a tiny 19mm thing and a CDI thats not so lazy/advance the timing a few degrees. Gives me a good excuse to buy a dremel kit too so will port match everything/shave and smooth castings as well.

TimShadboltfan27
So jealous/excited/pining for this build. God who would’ve thought a TS50 would give you so many emotions

HighLUX
Nah it was on trademe last weekend. Quick bit of negotiation with the previous owner got it to a price I was happy to pay and clicked buy now before someone else could snake it
AllTorque
This is rad. How big is it? Would I fit on it? If so, giz.
HighLUX
Yeah it's pretty much a full sized TS frame with just a 50cc in it and skinny rims. You would be able to ride it easily with some longer bars for your lanky frame. There's heaps of Empty Space above the barrel where you can fit a bigger cylinder like a TS 125 engine looks like it would fit

I've had both - rode the RMX50 to my first OS event in Kaikoura from Nelson. Cruised at an indicated ~90km/h, topping out at ~110. Is the TS a 5 or 6 speed?

Popular Post HighLUX
Progess of sorts Still runs like a bag after giving the carb a once over so might have to admit defeat and take it to the Pakeha for some 2T white mans magic
HighLUX
Had another go at the carb last night with a borrowed utrasonic cleaner It came up banging but on re assembly I noticed the main needle was looking a bit flakey so tried a bit of P2000 and it turned out to be chooched as fuck. They are NLA genuine/aftermarket so time for a NZ Scootercare upgrade. Potatoe fone cant comprehend the shinyness of the flash CDI from Raizer
HighLUX
Carb from NZ Scootercare ended up in Porirua instead of Papamoa still no ringadings but the light bar I ordered from Ali turned up in 9 days which is some sorta record. Will help with night riding as the headlight only has on with no high beam. Just need to find a bar switch to rig it up or a Suzuki switch block that has the extra position for hi beam so I can wire it into that

HighLUX
Turns inside of the shed from dark to daylight when hooked up to a test battery. Not so much of a direct beam but more daylight everywhere infront of it. Will do a good job and doesnt stick out too much tucked up under the headlight https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ECAHAYAKU-1Pcs-6-inch-18W-LED-Light-Bar-12V-80V-Motorcycle-Offroad-4x4-ATV-Spotlight-Truck/32864539972.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.13cf4c4dF7jfq6
