Yup, either 135 or 35 with the diesel THREE CYLINDER engine. The 4 cylinder earlier diesels had starting issues. the petrol tea's are probably fine too- i just wanted diesel.

These MF tractors are really the earliest you can go- go any earlier and they start lacking in things you require to do actual work- like a normal/modern PTO output and linkage system.

I'll be doing actual work with mine- dragging a mole plow one every year or two, leveling soil with a grader blade and mowing lawns.

Of course I have spent money making it look better rather than actually buying implements so that it can be used.

Cleaned up the new guards and managed to remove the old guard remains (that took hours of splitting nuts and pounding out the rusted in bolts.

while rain has ment painting outside cant happen.

Also look at this mean chainsaw that came with the tractor.

Wheels came off and the tractor got relined shoes, new clip things and a few seals (only two of the seals in the photo.. the easy axle ones) was shit as i have the outer axle seals but no tools (or motivation) strong enough to pull the bearings off.

The most time was spent getting the rhs wheel off (holy hell nuts were tight) and adjusting everything to get correct pedal travel.

Also.. note the yellow string. No idea how iothers do it (i do know there are special pliers) but string is GREAT for stretching springs into place. Pulling down is the best as ya just pop ya foot into the loop.

And it stops this

Wow. Had this thing a year and not even used it. Wheels are still off it. So rusty i cant bring myself to bolt them on (although they are perfectly usable)

Today i got this message

"Len here . George just got a nzta letter in the mail about ownership. Can you ring him when your free xxxxxxxx he also found the Fergie grill"

What does this mean?!? Plates are still live? He told me they werent. Dunno how farm stuff works.

The bare metal with peneteol looks great. Just a few streaks of rust from where i didn't put on enough peneteol. One year (nearly) outside in the elements so im super impressed!!!!!

God damn,  time is flying.

Been working on this thing! Slowly ticking off all the little things that bug me and slowly getting it ready to go out to the new shed.

- washed out the gearbox with diesel. Filled with new oil.  Unstuck both sliding gears on their splines shafts because they head become stuck over the past year.  Took hammer and wood, lol. Removed the top cover and steering box, rebuilt steering box with new bushes.  Sucked out engine oil and refilled.  Changed filter to modern spin on type.  Welded up the missing front lower wings.

Now I need help.

I have tried my hydraulics for the first time.  They went up and down and up and down perfectly fine,  then with less and less urgency- now they are dead as a dodo.

The arm with roller and spring is fine,  moves springs fine .

Anyway never mind found this cutie,
