Keen for Otaki Forks again next month, and any others that can make it to. Any interest in camping around NY's?

Steelies
che. shall we split at easter, or lax/prep during easter, then jump on the ferry when everyone else goes back to work?
shavenYak
I’d prefer after, once roads are less congested etc.

Mourning Cupcake
I'd be keen to investigate more of the West Coast too.
LoveChild
West is best! Technically not a Wellington wagoneering member but if you'll take a couple of jokers from the THC as tag alongs we would be oh so keen to JI for Tour d'amour! Keen for the Monday down - hopefully miss all that Easter crazy
Steelies
mean mean. may as well hit west then. might even sneak another day and stay kaikoura on the way home/recovery so who know the cool places to be here? I've only done the mainish centres along the highways. westport, hokitika and all that jazz standout features include crooked looks from locals at Otira
Beaver
We are doing a few days getting down the West Coast just winging it after Christmas so will pass on anything worthwhile we come across. I’ve heard the campground up at Karamea is choice (north from Westport so a back track of sorts)
Seedy Al
To be honest im not sure Hitting the west coast on this trip would be ideal. But to be honest I don't really care lol. Just probably depends on the km per day people are keen on.
Steelies
myeh fair call, gas bill will be decent even down the east side.
Nominal
Ex-mining places are interesting. Denniston Incline Waiuta. Haven't been to either for some years, I think some of the incline structure has been restored/rebuilt. Punakaiki (pancake rocks) is weirdly interesting too.
Pee Dubs
I'm thinking of heading down SI for Easter weekend with family in Blenheim / Chch, then keen to link up with y'all for camping during the week leading up to Nats
LoveChild
On the topic of wagoneering, vanning and general camping - we are going to be having a little 2018 Welcoming Assembly at our land over the NY period. We will be up there from the 30th of Dec till the 2nd of Jan - feel free to swing by and stay for a few days or just a night. Might have a big bonfire on NY eve if conditions allow. Will work in some day trips to local swimming holes and nearby beaches. We don't have ANY facilities except two portaloos so bring bottled water and all other amenities. There is a supi & liquor store and multiple takeaway options three minutes up the road and showers are available at Bizzo's mums for those who don't like to let it fester.
