Having never ridden longer than 30 minutes on a bike on the road before, I can thoroughly recommend doing such a trip.

Mad props to J dogg for gettin 'er dun and making the event happen, you should be stoked that everyone got home alive and we all had a blast. Also huge thanks for lending me your CT110, I was pining all weekend on it and even the Gisborne Road Pirates were frothing at us doing the trip.

11/10 would punish my bumhole again.

Spot the STFEF18A62-2704-4360-9210-638197418D6F.jpeg.b1cadc4a1c4159ce3570bf1088085467.jpeg

Bike was probably about 3m down the almost vertical cliff, stuck in a tree still running.

I carried on and ended up in the darkness probably 10 or 15m down the bank stopped by a tree and some rocks after going through the air and tumbling through a fair bit of Bush/trees.

rookie move.

Think I’m gonna sew some back armour into my vest now

A day after completing this it has dawned on me how ludicrous of an idea it was but fuck me what a blast

As someone who has never done any riding on the road before Im well chuffed that I didnt die on what was the least suited bike for the trip

Smokey Sue the SJ looked after me all weekend without a single issue except using all of the fuels because she was tapped out for most of the tarmac sections and fuck she goez hard for wot it iz. Bit slow on the flat but a demon on the hills if I kept her on pipe. @Raizer did a fine job of tweaking its 2 strokes to make it peel out so hard.

Mad props to all the GC's I rode with, Nan and the others at the Razza that signed us in so we could drink beers and the 6 year old girl in Tokomaru Bay for the double seig salute as 50ccs of angry bees hooned past her

Realistically though, if anyone was gonna ride off a cliff, it was gonna be you.

You're also probably the only one who'd survive it unscathed too haha

Scooter didn't want to start. So had everyone working on it. Got it going and off I went. Had to stop and Take this photo I was so happy to be on my scoot.

And followed up with me and the scoot braking down. So the next few hours went passed with me in the back of a jimny. Back to Johns place grab the spare bike and play catch up began.

Yeap, it hung around in the crankcase after it finished destroying the piston and cylinder too.

Greg's lucky it seems to Have kept out of the bearings at least so the bottom end is all good to go again.

Not seeing any signs it was running lean either, so I don't think it was soft seizing like the initial call, rather the clip was jamming things up.
