Who's keen on taking mountain bikes and going for some group OS trail riding?  I'll take mine no matter what anyway because the trails there are so fun.  Made better knowing I can wreck myself out on the bike and have a hotpool soak to look forwards to :-)

Make sure you check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Actually I would like to bring my mountain bike if I've got a suitable means of getting it up there. @Mof should too. I've been getting in a couple of wee rides a week, and gaining a tiny bit of fitness. Probably not a patch on a trail destroying killing machine like yourself Alex.

So she of finances and spending can give me the all clear.

I'll have my bike so you can be converted to the ways of the wagon wheel.

I'll most likely ride my 1990 rigid steel singlespeed with rim brakes so you can be converted to the ways of a real mans bike. Its all about sore arms, shitty brakes, picking lines, momentum is king, backache and fucked knees.

None of those large circus wheeled, namby pamby, cafe latte drinking, hairdresser, floral dress wearing, shortland street watching, knee pad wearing bandwagon bikes.

I have front shocks, disc brakes, and pants with a padded bum. And I'm not afraid to use them.  (Except I wear black footy shorts over the top, cos I'm not ready to come our of the closet yet)

Shit, it's June tomorrow, and my car is in a very non-functional form. Gonna be a busy couple of months.

I'll do you all a favour and not wear lycra.  Don't want to tempt anyone...  Dane..

Just spotted this thread. The RX2 and I will definitely be making the trip and I've got a mate who's keen as to attend.

I may or may not bring the mountain bike, there's a very fine line to be walked when on a piss trip and function well enough to go riding.

Treat the biking as a way to re-fresh your mind and sweat out the toxins in preparation of more booze influx.

I've never biked in Hanmer.how hilly are the trails up there?

I wouldn't class my level of fitness as good enough for steep climbs yet.......

Couple of good steep parts but anyway.. just a fun group ride so hop off and walk. No rush. It's all fun.

Will and I will just be at the top waiting, shooting up on heroine and smoking crack and eating bananas because that's how nelson bikers roll.

Hopefully a more voluptuous proper full bodied Wonder woman,  unlike that skinny rake, crack addict, skeletal Gal Gadot

(although Gal can still leave cookie crumbs in my bed...of which Hannah said 'yeah..in your dreams'...)
