chris r Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 What's better than having three non running projects? Four of them! Watching roadkill this morning seemed quite fitting... No need to tell me I'm dumb here as I am well aware of that fact Quote
kiwi808 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 FC's are awesome. Soooo much fun to drive! 1 Quote

RUNAMUCK Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I remember back when these were still new ish. Went for a ride in a mates one, before taking him for a ride in my 13b rx3. After the turbo car, mine felt about as fast as a ke70 wag with a 4k. 4 Quote
chris r Posted March 25, 2017 Author Posted March 25, 2017 The radio has got Jonny written on it. Looks like part of it is missing? I'll check it out later. 1 Quote
kws Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 hahaha, those battery "terminals" are amazing. Sounds like progress is happening quickly. Quote
Goat Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 There is one, but doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe though. Don't remember this being an issue last time I was tinkering. 1 Quote

There is one but connected to the switch side of the ignition switch hence un plugging it We suspect it could be a relay sticking on. If you pull 30a maxi fuse in the engine bay it'll Turn everything off and it will stay off but with more thinking there could be another turbo timer hiding somewhere. 2 hours ago, kws said: hahaha, those battery "terminals" are amazing. Sounds like progress is happening quickly. It's less bad than vice grips.... And I was on fuel pump cintril duties We kept finding issues that could cause the flooding/no start faults. Hopefully they are ironed out for now. All the injector plugs need replacing as the retaining clips are gone and while I'm at it ill probably re tape and tidy the loom Quote
kyteler Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Easy way to check without searching would be to turn it off and wait 1, 3 or 5 minutes. 2 Quote
chris r Posted March 25, 2017 Author Posted March 25, 2017 Ain't got that much patience mang! /might actually do that while testing fuel pump wiring. A quick google says there is a fuel pump relay. Perhaps that's got burnt contacts... If so I'll bypass it for now but leave it connected so the ecu is happy Quote
kiwi808 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I have a Hayes manual for these. Let me know if there are any pages you want scanned etc. Are you going to have the injectors cleaned and tested? Quote

When I get it to Auckland I'll pull then out again Of scans of wiring diagrams would be great please and thank you I got a picture of the radio for you too 1 Quote
kyteler Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hold the phone in landscape for fucks sake. That better not have been Joe filming that. Other than that though, fuck yeah, good work, congrats, yay, etc! 4 Quote
