chris r
It was just going over seals etc. I'll need to work out how to measure everything next to figure out if it is in spec. I'll pull It apart one day and see how fucked everything is Yeah I can see how the costs add up quickly.

rot808
When I did a budget rebuild (only soft seal replacements and a good clean and measure up) on mine years ago I used the factory service manual, it ran and got abused ALOT so can't complain. You know it's legit if it says you can use out of spec apex seals as long as you use old apex seal springs so it doesn't push them up too far (which is what I did as I was poor lewl) http://www.rotaryheads.com/PDF/2nd_gen/
tortron
Nah, throw away that horrible rotary engine, they were never any good anyway. Take one out of your hondas and have an RXVTEC

chris r
I should buy this rx7 and use the motor in mine until it goes bang. What I am most interested in is the factory airbox though. oh and ness has decided she likes the sound of a bridge port. I told her she can buy the porting template and I'll have a go at it
yoeddynz
I reckon you should put your time and money into just fixing the engine you have. You might be pleasantly surprised at the condition inside when stripped. That motor in above link could well have issues.. you'd never know until you get it. Plus it'll need the counter weight swapping over because its an auto so wont be a straight swap.
flyingbrick
@chris r I will judge you if you buy that
chris r
Of course I'm not going to buy another car haha. I was wanting the factory airbox more than anything. I'll need to do more work on the rest of the fleet before I get balls deep in this
kiwi808
When I rebuild my motor I'll probably be doing away with the factory airbox. If I do then I'll send it up to you. But you won't need it with a bridgeport turbo.....

chris r
So with recent developments I'll be moving out and loosing the storage. Chucked it up on book face for what it owes me and someone paid a deposit 2 hours later. I'll probably regret selling it but I've got to de clutter
