Popular Post xsspeed
OK so this has been along time coming I have pined and pined, and was finally in the position I could do something about it Saw this on goo net but was put off on account of it being noted for damage. When another prospective one fell through I asked Ewan, Shane and Jessie from Stacked to take a look given it was in Osaka. SHane had a look and thought it was a bit rough initially for the asking price, so we low balled them and deeply upset the sellers honour. It looked like bridges were burnt until out of the blue one night Ewan rang me and we had a good ol yarn and he reckoned the guy selling was doing so on behalf of another yard, and that the real sellers were a garage that had sponsored a drift racer that the Stacked admin(?) girl new, so we went through the back door like your mum likes it and managed to do a deal. Its no gem, it needs love, but it runs sweet and it appears solid (compliance yet to confirm/deny). Oh yeah and it was less than half the price most 200zr's are asking in Japan so that helps. Bit of drama today as I got it delivered home while I wait for some parts it needs that Jessie from stacked has been trawling through YAJ for me for compliance (factory high stop light, new rear lenses) as well as some cosmetic items. So I'd asked autohub to give my number to the truckers so they could let me know a day to be home, eta was supposed to be tomorrow. I checked my online account with autohub which said today (the online account is ace btw can track the boat). SO i rang them back and they said oh yeah itll be today, but the driver will ring you, I'll make sure they have your details. I was in the car to go to a client meeting and the trucky rings me and said he'd just got the email from autohub then, not the day before, and that it had already been dropped off, with key on the tyre. Needless to say I bailed from car and meeting and got home to it TLDR Pics Some I chucked on instagram care of the guys from stacked before it was shipped, ill upload some more

Popular Post xsspeed
Shitty Update: The Z31 is STILL at compliance place, it needs: LR wheel bearing, steering rack leak fixed, 2 front tires, wiper blades, brake pedal pad. I went to see it yesterday, still hadnt been up on the hoist. A bit frustrated with how long its taken. It had to get a repair cert for a few things, old repairs and fixing some rust and floor pan damage, it all looks super lush under neath now as its been resealed. Couple of pics for an otherwise lame update

Popular Post xsspeed
So had some drama today. Had previously noticed a bit of coolant venting when in traffic due to heat and after a run up the mway today to caffeine and classics we hit the queue to get in and airflow across radiator stopped and the heat got up. Started to get worse by the time i got through to find a park and then POP It dumped coolant and the top hose had popped off the radiator. Thankfully no parts damaged. The OS boes came to the rescue lending tools water bottles and filling them up. And holding the bonnet up for me haha. Had to take the airbox out, which we found had some curious mods, to get to the radiator as its angle mounted in the nose. Got the hose back on and topped up with some coolant and checked out all ok. Its possibly the radiator fans arent coming on from the temp switches. One comes on when AC is on so I can use that for now. Also seeing Clint the RB anorak loves these motors he cast his certifying eye over the turbo and spotted the waste gate actuator not hooked up and the wastegate itself was just flappin in the breeze. I knew i had an issue with lack of boost but hadnt even started to look. When I got home I hooked it up and whacked a split pin through. Fired up and it started making the noises you here when its a rainy night. Went for a doort through the tunnel and yup it does hunnits now. So just like that Clint solved my problem...pic of the culprit now restrained
xsspeed
Back in August I went for a fang enjoying making poosts but then wamp wah. Started getting hot and steam from engine bay. I could see water and steam coming out under the intake manifold. Got a ride home thanks to AA plus and left it in the garage while I went around Europe for a month Finally did some further investigating yesterday and found it. So much room under the nose...the condenser is bolted to the nose cone and you can only access the bolts by half pulling the nose off the car...3x2 bonnet stay ftw Also great intake duct Peekaboo Twennydebt Radiator is out and Ill get that checked and flushed if its worth it Then do some fluids and aim to be at drag day Disgust: 4

Popular Post xsspeed
Thought I updated this after drag day Any who fried clutch on my last burnout ao havent done anything. Its in the garage and Ive been slowly advancing clutch install while tinkering when I havent been building fences Today got rained out so mucked around in the garage and investigated a few things on this. The trans mount was flapping about so investigated further... Turns out its an assembly... And this rooster is toast So looked at rockauto and they only sell auto ones which have the wrong hole spacing. Can get a replacement from other sites for like US$220 or go a more solid urethane mount for like US$70 Theres a solid aluminium block one for similar price but I think without replacing all other mounts id end up breaking some other part When I first got this I also got a spoiler made by this joker Finally dummied it up. Needs a trim and a skim but should look alright 18
xsspeed
Does anyone know where id get one of these easy enough in nz maybe a swept bend not a mitre. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/511176/10002/-1 I played match the radiator hose at supercheap with @GuyWithAviators today. Got a VL rb30 bottom hose which is sweet engine end but with my V mount radiator under the nose cone I need to make an additional turn
xsspeed
I made some things, took me fucking ages cos im a noob Because new radiator (300zr) is bigger than old radiator (200zr) - 50mm taller and different top mounts. Y u do dis nissan? /i gambled on 300zr being the same via rockauto Using the existing mounts it would stick up New: Old: So also had to cut and reweld some lower mounts. Now it fits inside the nose cone again Dummy up of how the radiator cradles will work with mk1 prototype lol
