Gauges. Tell me about gauges

Okay, so I have some cheap China special gauges in one of my cars, because I was rushing a job and they were all I could get on a Saturday afternoon.  They're rubbish.

I'm looking for some new mid-spec 52mm gauges for oil pressure (mechanical) and water temp (electric).

I've been thinking about something off Summit or Demon Tweaks because they have a good range, fair price, can buy online in the evening, my usual place for buying stuff, etc.

Thinking something like VDO

Smiths (keeping it British)

What have others used, recommend, recommend avoiding, etc.  Any other good websites/online stores for gauges and gauge accessories?

Discuss here.

I've got this series. I looked at buying through online places but it was only going to be a few bucks diff to buy local from Neil Allport in the instance that I got pinged GST/duty.

Otherwise I found Merlin Motorsport one of the cheaper places.

The cheaper VDO don't enjoy a good reputation for accuracy, at least when I was doing my research on this stuff before I bought mine. SPA design is another brand you might want to consider.

I get my gauges from speedhut and throughly reccommend them.

Extremely high quality, many to choose from, ability to customise style and good value price wise.

A friend of mine had one bad gauge in a set and they made a replacement and shipped it to him asap with no fuckin around.

Also- made in USA so you are helping make america great again.

Also-

Summitracing has a range of gauges and accessories that are made by other reputable companies but then rebranded and sold in plain packaging for far cheaper than usual. Worth looking into if you can be bothered.

Also..

Cheap gauges are sooo shit.
