My mate Glen with the gtp has I think only run a 14.3. It for slower after he fitted a cat back zhorts

I put a China copy muffler (frowmaster? ) on te ute to shut it up, it was a bit droney. I ran out of pipe to make a tip but found a driveshaft under the house that is now an exhaust tip.

One thing I have found useful when doing exhausts is some hi temp pot belly black paint from bunnings, cheaper than rattle cans and it lasts well

I bought it some new wheels because I've always disliked the ones on it.

18x9.5, +24 offset fits perfect, I re used the tyres that were on it already, 245-40-18

I also spent a few hours touching up all the paint chips and scratches. Looks tidier.

Other end of the engine size scale, I picked up this non running scooter from Scrubb, what a top bloke.

I got it home and managed to lose the key somewhere,  I disassembled the ignition switch to get that working and it had some water in it,  and the air filter foam had fallen to bits so maybe it had sucked some of that into the carb. Anyway after that it started, I fixed the indicators, made a new air filter out of a car wash sponge, cleaned it, and got rego on it.

At first I thought there was something wrong with the clutch but it turns out it has a automatic 2 speed.

I have had some funny looks when riding it.

Logical thing to do once you get something running mint , registered and legal- disassemble it.

I rode it a couple of times but it was too slow to the point of being dangerous when a hill is involved, and there's hills everywhere where I live.  I have a spare gy6 chingaling scooter engine so I'll swap that in and get a big block kit for it

What you really need is one of those 90cc 2stokes from a kids quad (Polarus or Chinese).

Just find a cr500 motor, lkike they just lay around , should move you around just fine a i reckon.

I had a mate with a cr250. He used to give it death. I tried it, and it scared me bad enough I didn't go back for seconds. Mate reckoned he didn't want a CR500. Said he valued his life/having the use of his legs too much.

Big block kit turned up. Also got a fuel tap shipped free from China for $2.70. It amazes me how they can make any money off this stuff it's so cheap. 

I might give the ports a quick tickle up before the head goes on

Hah turns out it was already a 70cc and the new piston makes it 84cc, not 100 cc as advertised 

I see why people mess around with scooters, had it stripped in 30 min. Found some grey paint that matched ok so painted the bits of frame that were modified

The variator rollers were worn with big flat spots so hopefully the new ones make that work better .
