Tristans 1977 Hilman Hunter wagon Discussion

Recommended Posts

I dig the whitewalls. I've seen a Hunter with flappers which looks terrible, mainly because they emulate a wide whitewall. The thin whitewall looks much better and suits the age of the car.

These are the whitewall tyres that STA parts sell:

If the keep spring is keeping the main spring captive (and becomes upcaptive when you remove the keeper spring) then you really need to keep it.

Although you may find that you can pull the keeper spring out, then wind the spring perch up a bit to take up the tension of the main spring, and the car will actually sit lower (as you no longer have the hight of the collapsed keeper spring).
