fuel Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Being an import the ECU adjusts the fuel mixture with information from the O2 sensor. If you had an NZ-new Starion, Cordia or Sigma turbo they have a manual dash pot which adjusts fuel mix because these vehicles required high octane and the leaded fuel was the only suitable fuel at the time, therefore no O2 sensor. In short, no. Run a Galant multi point manifold with aftermarket ECU to safely get high boost out of that engine. I ran about 15-16psi through mine and cracked ring lands. Quote
fiat850 Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 ok thanx , someone told me that the eci I have is not the best, Im going to get a air fuel ratio sensor and gauge nek week so I have some idea where its at, im one of these old school types Im only used to carbs ect so big learning curve for me-but I'll get there, Quote
fiat850 Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 ive installed a air fuel ratio meter and it appears ok until boost then its lean , with the rubbish injection system ive got can I increase fuel pressure to get more up front of is it a computer chip injectors issue , if I was to get a muti point injection system does anyone know what model or engine number is best Quote
fiat850 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 I ended up using a efi multi from a (g64b)2351cc L300 van, bolts straight up more or less Quote
