Ooh is that what the blower is for?

Water meth might be a good idea.

The merc blower from pap wouldn't work with the Honda spinning anti clockwise and the haltech has a few extra outputs so can use one to switch the charger on mad Max style

Om606(or 605) would be the dream but are a bit too spenny for me, and have electronically controlled pump so added cost with controls etc.

But once mounts and everything is done if I win lotto the om606 will fit.

The om606 has longer stroke (92 ish mm vs the 606 84mm) so won't rev as high but it's well under half the cost including the gearbag

The om606/605 all seem to come with front sumps which will need chopping to fit. Luckily the om662 has a rear sump which makes it easier to fit

I wanted to keep it super basic mechanically with the only electronics being the glow plug controller.

If I win lotto I'll get a pump built to turn it up more. Stock it has 5.5mm elements, the om606 has 6mm elements which should be able get to 200 hp with a bigger turbo but if I'm paying to have a pump built then no point in going a little bit bigger.

Currently at the limit of the stock t2 something with 3 ish turns on the pump i have two options, make a j pipe adaptor to fit a bigger turbo or build a log manifold and fit a bigger turbo. I feel the pump can deliver a bite more fuel than it is currently but need more air to go with it.

It's all shit talking and dreams until I get the Honda drivable again and get the carport back

I think you will find the star symbol on the bearing means it's a bearing from a starfire 4,  that was a trick to building a good 173 ,because the 4 cylinder starfire was a higher rpm performance engine if you wanted a good race 173 for a street stock or jet boat those are the bearings to use

Yes that jogged my memory. Old mate wossaname said he'd put better rods in to help with the higher compression pistons and high revving crossflow overhead cam head

I had the exact font for the 173 ones, but the machine doesnt have the resolution to cut it well at that size, managed to get some usable at least text by splitting it and filling the area as much as practical.

Can sort of see the lines for the "remote" filter there

after a bit more digging looks like the filter is mounted close to the turbo /downpipe would be on the turbo engines

seems like a LOT of time and effort to go in order to use these injector hard lines so I'm tempted not to bother with the van intake as it has potiential to snowball and cause more issues than its worth

found this russin? video comparing the van 662 to the musso 662
