manufactured from 1 January 1990 has a catalytic converter removed where there is evidence that one was originally fitted, and there is no written evidence issued by an entry certifier that the vehicle passed a prescribed metered emissions test in this condition (Note 5) (Note 6) (Figure 11-2-1).

Here's how i think the WOF guy has interpreted it...... and how i did too too as its under the reasons for rejection hence I just assumed im fucked didn't kick up a stink and bought one. Question is do I debate this at recheck?

All wof stuff done brake downgrade complete its been a while since ive driven this car on stock brakes, man they are shit compared to 330mm drilled and slotted disc's who would of thunk it....

Steering rod ends replaced all 4 in end as i needed boots as well so steering shouldn't give me grief in my ownership.

The Catylitic Converter debacle after clear advice it wasn't necessary I wasn't able to to return it without spending money so I just fitted it........ fuck it why not and am actually pleased with result.

So naturally Aspirated it's taken a bit of volume out of exhaust the weird 2000 rpm buzz it had is just not there anymore and all fuel smell with windows down gone too for the expense of $200 and 15mm of ground clearance.

And it drives bloody nice! Re check monday then start refiting all the naughty fun stuff.

Bloody stoked Wof is achieved so been zooming around doing work stuff in it today throwing it around a bit it handles bloody well with new suspension and wheel tyre combo plenty of tyre on road!

Just got some NA tuning stuff to play with then the turbo can go back on and big brakes.

Might put in for another wheel alignment as I my steering wheel is slightly off centre not a huge rush it'll be 1-2mm off maximum i measured it all up fitting new tie rods hard to get exact with string and rulers though.

In an attempt to not shower the track with 4l60E parts i decided a Launch control routine would be THE SHIT!! so no social media tonight and a bit of AI and my intervention parsing the results i got a patch created and flashed into the PCM.

Bugger me it worked with a few bugs first time. Check it out @Roman Logs and everything red trace is TPS is purple is RPM it pegs at 2500rpm and hits a hard fuel cut and oscillates between 2475-2500 RPM once you roll and Road speed hits 1kph it drops and your off. seeing as there's no normal reason to be stationary at 2500rpm i can leave it active and use it to smoke VW GTI Golfs.

Will help dial in grip if track is a bit shit too

Nice work, but i think you would want ign cut to spool the turbo when it goes back on?

I was working on fuel cut but it works really shit on this PCM because of the separate ignition control module it throws DTCs and loses 200-300rpm per cut and kills coms (did try it and have code for it) this is more torque management to help with the high stall as its right in the butter zone where turbo comes on and gets a bit wild makes a stack of torque just as torque converter wants to lock up.

Now to chase that random DTC I get on dash see whats causing it. Its unspecified which means the PCM is seeing it knows its off somewhere but i need to log to see it instead of just doing fault code check.

If i give it beans with the good NA Timing in it tags the stock rev limiter really easy Ecotecs usually get a bit asthmatic up top so the ported heads have definitely helped and its freeing up nicely I'll bump the rev limit up another 250rpm after the next oil change.
