@a.craw4d Yeah sorry there a few bits missing in those pics. It's basically one of these: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/building-renovation/tools/hand-tools/vices-clamps-presses/listing/3289797513

You can see it on the pics of the link, but there's a bit of I think 10mm plate the width of the bender and about 80mm deep. Clamped down with G clamps.

Other than the mod to make it slide in the bench, mine has had a piece of angle stitch welded along the length of the folding part (the part that the handles slide into) as they aren't the strongest out of the box. Also updated the G clamps to some beefier ones as those little ones have shitty casting and break, but also need a spanner to tighten. Sometimes add a couple of those big jaw vice grip type things to clamp the middle better when folding harder stuff.

I've done up to 1.6mm in mine taking it easy and it does it fine.

Having bent a few things in it now with the bench mount mod, I am happy it works well I can cut the part of the feet off that sticks out the side haha

Atleast the Van's have a heap of space to work round the back of the turbo.

The kzj78 is much less space

Yeah it's not too bad access wise, still a bit of a pain getting at the top bolts on the turbo, could be super easy if I took the rear carpet out and pulled the bell housing cover though.

It's going over the swaybar + diff + Panhard then snaking around the spare wheel and diesel tank etc that's looking like it'll be the real challenge for me tbh, especially considering I'm using a lift tig on a gravel driveway ha

Would it really be one of my projects without a touch of jank?

Have had a 3" in, twin 2.5" out muffler stashed away for coming up 2 years, turns out I needed an offset inlet or to remove the torsion bar adjuster to run a center inlet...
So the center became an offset and the twin 2.5: outs became a single 3"

Ran out of argon so had to find the confidence to fire up the new MIG, yeap I still suck at it!

But it works and the exhaust sounds rather lush imo

Now to figure out WTF I'm doing to get it out the back as currently it's just giving the diff a nice soot black coating

i made one out of hard wood for my "ute crane"(just sat the crane in the ute for extra height) lifting the garage roof trusses into place. 50kg was ok, wouldn't risk much more

Still got to clean it up a bit and weld the mounts on, just ran out of argon so called it for right now.
Plate and SS wool baffling, 100x100, 190 tall, m16 threaded bosses so those cheap SAAS barbs from SCA will go straight in etc.
