I asked him if he ever wanted to go back. Pretty strong 'Hell no' was the answer. Told me it was hellishly hot and the water rations were so low they'd save half their tea to shave with. If they didn't shave they'd get jungle sores from ingrown hairs from the heat and sweat. Also said the clothes rotted off them. About the only things he ever said about it really. Apart from when a few of them swam to a chiefs burial plot on some island and looted it of carved shells, my mum's still got some. Bloody NZ bogans.... Would quite like to go myself some day. 5

Think my sister has that...

Popular Post Kimjon
Brought some angle iron to finish the wall. Came up pretty good. I used boiled linseed oil on it like I did to the barn door steel work, stops it rusting but looks raw and rustic looking. Guy at engineering shop said yesterday was their biggest day for sales since opening. 11

Popular Post Kimjon
Bit of a random project. Always wanted one of these. So brought it on an impulse buy when it was on sale at super cheap auto last week. Problem was it's useless just flopping around on top of the bench. I tried all sorts of Mickey Mouse ways of holding it down with clamps etc, none of them were successful. So I decided that a purpose built stand was in order: Hmmmm...what colour should I paint it? I know...red??? Yip, red was a good choice... Location wise, this is a dead space in the shed that is of no use for anything else, so I stuck it there. Ive mounted a metal bender in a similar spot between the other doors and I really like it, works great in that spot. I used M12 wedge anchors to bolt it down to the concrete. Its not going anywhere now, and I'll be able to swing off that handle like a big gorilla without fear of face fucking myself! Calling it a win! 16

Seems like it would be strong enough unless you're loading up huge pots.
tortron
Probably yes. Although I use this one with bigger pots for max calories. A 20g butane cooker will always be lighter. Have some shorter sections I might try that out with, but it's actually quite easy to bend, it may want heat treatment

Thanks, yeah it's only taken a few years, this base keeps the monitor at 30 degrees to the wall. On 29/08/2020 at 19:51, kws said: I'm the kinda psychopath that wants the task bar aligned, lol. Task bar aligned not so great for such different sized monitors...
