AllTorque
I like your dedication to finding the right car. Do people constantly ask you what it is?
CarolsHusband
It's funny how we forget that most people who are 'into cars' are not as into cars as others. No, It's not a Dolomite, a Toledo, a MK 1 or 2 Cortina or even a Toyota. Or American. Japanese cars are so off the radar here. If you tell some one a Hako Coupe is worth more than a BDA or Twin Cam Escort they just stare at you. 25 grand for a Datsun ? Pfft. It's just not cricket.
igor
I must admit to being one of those who pretty much ignored most of the Jap stuff for many years but there are a few old Jappas that I do like. Mostly the medium to large sedans. Don't mind this thing at all.
CarolsHusband
My PE teacher had a Daruma Celica in the late 70's which I thought was pretty cool but apart from that Japanese cars never registered. When the R32 Skylines came out I thought 'ooh' but had no idea how far back the history went. Pre-internet days. Living in a cave. Driving British and U.S. cars. Going to the library to find stuff out.

Willdat?
The translated version of that blog post is epic - thanks for sharing the story so far. The patience is the part I'm most impressed with - I'm going to keep it in mind while I save for something sweet rather than constantly buying shit I don't really love.
