And also this one, but only atfter the auctions.

Scrappy paid $30 and i bought it off him for $140  :x

After the auction i discovered all my parts were in the red car. FML.

All up $450ish bucks for a 1982 mk1 gti.

Have all the glass, seals, bar the rainroof seal, window scrapers, interior parts, 3 sets of carpets,

seats. Front duckbill lips and some other hidden treasures only vw crackers like me fizz over.

2nd day we had it, we filled it with some fresh oil, since it was bone dry.

new fuel and vroom.

Will be giving it a new filter and oil as Im unsure what its condition is.

So far only thing for a warrant is front right outer cv boot is fooked.

Emptied the red car out and found some goooooodieeeees.

Sadly the red gti is far gone, much like the green one so both will be heading to the scrap after I rape them of their parts.

Pretty sure Im the only one here who has troubles with the damn photo uploads lol. Must be this shitty chromebook i use.

Anyway i did some more trim today, had a potential buyer have a gander at it tonight. I know hes lurking on here somewhere.

Did the rear prick of a shape panels, some lower bits that you cant see and some covers for behind the seats.

Some before and after shots.

Used the missus's potato to take some photos of the progress. Finally got her to help with something.

Clean the seals, woman!

Armour-all the seals ,woman!

Got some fiddly crap done today,

Wing mirrors on, Front door seals, window  scrapers, rear boot thingy re trimmed, seat belts fitted, rear side panels cleaned and installed.

But mainly sorting through 3 cars worth of 30 year old stuff took up most of my day.

Again sorry for the potato photography, its not my strong point.

  • 2 weeks later...

Been lazy, unproductive, busy, unmotivated. All of the above.

But got stuck into it tonight.

Headliner done, still to cut the hole for the rain roof.

Rear windows in. First time doing windows. FIrst time doing windows alone too.

Door rubbers on, boot rubber on, boot re installed and speaker trays too.

Seats came up mint after a run through the laundromat!

Will be giong together this week sometime hopefully.

Spent ages sorting through the seat shit.

Glued some of the carpets down so it looks neater.

Tried sorting the sunroof out but to no avail.
