666DAN
Shit I will have to get new wheels in that case! All my cars get lowered
shaneo
Read the build thread on my old sport I bought 7.5s off them but only 2 of . They work on the front with rolled guards but the rear is a big problem I was 2inch lowered on reset leafs and I stretched the inner guard as much as I could but they still rubbed with 185/60/13 rubber . I the end I took them back to change the boss suggested that I shorten my diff or buy a full set of brand new tyres 175/50/13 which is far to stretched on 7.5 I went on to tell him he was false advertising that they don't fit a MK2 escort he took them back and swapped me for 7 inch instead. only go 1.5 inch lowered if you want to drive your car hard . 185/60/13 on a 7 inch rim will give you another inch lower on top of the 1.5 but still leave a bit of room for movement in the springs to have some fun when you drive
666DAN
I am running 175/50/13's and the stretch isn't bad at all.

666DAN
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I am really just getting to know her at the mo and getting a list together of all the things that need attention. Yes the car looks good and has been rebuilt, it just has little things that bug the shit out of me. Simple things like heater blower is constantly on low even when its turned off, temp gauge not working due to wire not being connected, r/f seat mount bolt has pulled through the steel, radiator has a small/tiny split on the bottom tank, front brake shudder, etc etc annnnd it smells like a bloody ashtray! two_days_late
Nice Esky mate. You can buy whole new rear panels from Palmside: http://www.palmside.co.nz/product_pcid_17508.html There's also a few pics in my build thread around pumping out the rear guards if you're looking to make some space Cheers Matt

N3K
Hey Dan what size tyre and wheel is that?
666DAN
Wheels are 13x7.5 -19 offset and the tyres are 175/50/13 The car is getting there slowly. Sorting through the mechanical issues and saving my money for the panel work.
crustywhip
Hows that Dan. Im your neighbour and on here to. Looks really good in black and if you can get a diff shortened to tuck those rims. The old owner must have been a heavy smoker because the house smells so I have started cleaning the walls. Slowly getting better.
666DAN
Man the nicotine on the windows of the car was disgusting. Really looking forward to having a look at your toys when you are back!

kyteler
It depends hugely on the brand and model of tyre
