HumberSS
Pull out that greasing chart in the manual, Im pretty sure there are about 50 grease nipples in the front end of that thing. It is a very British solution..

ThePog
Drives like a dream now too, before you had to constantly correct it to keep going straight. Cheers to Ellis Street Auto Repairs who did the wof, they have another Super Snipe they work on and he said as soon as he drove it he could tell something was up and went looking. I like it when you find the right little man for the job.
yoeddynz
Was he little? Like so little he just walked under that big ol brute of a snipe and checked it out.. no ramp needed. Was he so little he tied blocks of wood to the pedals? This I'm picturing and giggling at. So totally glad you have not only scored a sweet old car but you also managed to sort it out in time for your first oldschool road trip. We shall celebrate tonight with beer!
sidewaysickness
Also will you be bringing some form of guitar? I've heard your voice makes angels cry
ThePog
You got it wrong, it is the children who cry... However I may indeed bring a guitar and sing you the songs of my people.

ThePog
You should see the build table, it is already filthy. I will leave it like that for you. Didn't have the tools for getting out the rack, the little man is bringing the car over soon anyway. Couldn't find one in the parts stash... gettinroundtuit
Theres 3 or 4 snipes in a paddock south of dunedin near henley, & hunters, imps, commer vans & a mayflower i think. most of them have been there for 30+ years. Cant be seen from main road, regretfully no longer for sale..... too many tyre kickers in the past just full of hot air & not returning

thegreatestben
Ha that looks very similar to the power steering in an old clarke forklift. I've had very unpleasant experiences with trying to fix one of those. The spool was bypassing internally and it would go to hard lock left. I hope yours doesn't do that :S
ThePog
It does seem a bit retarded, but it is pretty simple internally so hopefully not to much to go wrong. It works now so thats good enough for me.
