Valiant
The NA and NB boxes have a good pad on the back you can use to mount off. I have a NA motor, box, cut loom, and mega squirt here If you're interested in making a deal. The project I brought it for has had it's chance.
BDA780
Karl that engine/gearbox looks so high Yup I got it wrong. But the shifter will be very far back once lowered into place, no?

Purely looking at the NC 5 speed 'box for feasibility to match the Duratec. Failing this I'll just wait it out for a Sierra box to match with the Zetec I have in the garage.
yoeddynz
You can swap the rear tail section of the NA box to a 12a tail. That then has a normal mount position for box support.
J-W-G
Anyone got a 12a tail for my na box?....
yoeddynz
I want a NA gear set for the higher 1 2 3 ratios.
R100
You can remove the rear section of the MX5 box and bolt on a rear from a rotary/626 box. Bolts straight on however you have to change a few other bits a bobs. easy to do. I did this when I fitted a mx5 engine and box to a rwd 323
