Scrmntoy
Working on the front brakes, thought I'd make use of my original AE92 brake calipers from my red corolla and purchased some ae86 vented rotors. Just in the process of modifying the bracket to hold the caliper. Hopefully shal give a bit more stopping power over the oem solid rotor ae85 set up.
Scrmntoy
Sorted out exhaust tip from the original not so nice looking tip, gave car first buff/polish. Travelled 1000km, seems to go alright, just got to sort out hanger bearing for drive shaft and clutch master cylinder due to a vibration and leak.
Scrmntoy
Has been a while since I've last been on here. Still haven't completed the front brake upgrade, time to get back into it shortly however I have been working on the suspension. Fronts I have removed the K-sport coilovers, purchased some second hand new Monroe GT Gas shocks which have been shortened and a lowering spring used, worked out quite well and is smooth yet firm at the same time, also sits approx 15mm lower than previously with the coilover. Have used the camber tops from the coilover with the new set up. Rears I managed to come across a pair of near new second hand Monroe GT Gas shocks to match the front and a pair of lowering springs to replace the spine compressing coilovers that were in the rear + one shock was buggered. Jacking the car up they only had approx 25mm of travel which would explain a wheel commonly lifting off the ground when entering and exiting driveways. Purchased some Genuine Toyota coil insulators for the springs and the appropriate washers, cushion/bush bits for the top of the rear shocks. Had wheel alignment done, rides so much nicer and smoother now and sits at a good height at the rear still

Scrmntoy
Installed oil pressure and volt gauges, wanted to keep the dash clean looking so made up a bracket piece to hold the gauges tidily and easily visible when driving. Scrmntoy
Installed some SW20 MR2 Seats over the New Year, Definitely a good easy seat upgrade from Pick a part, few stains to clean but happy with them so far. Also took the car to Gisborne for the New Year, friend of mine took a couple of pics while I was down.
