Shakotom
Hi, long time no update again. ADV50 did TeUruweraAdvRide fine with no hiccups. Well except for blowing the fork seals and leaking all the oil out, so by the time we got to Motu pretty much had no compression movement, only droop. And rear brake getting a bit grabby. 7
Shakotom
Vino got neons and slam applied, was a good smoko runner / winter CBD pest ride, but got sick of it so moved it on. 3 1
Shakotom
Then thanks to my Scooter Dealer @Raizer, I had a old and pretty rough CE50 27v Jog turn up at my work. (pictured next to my old FZR250) The jog ran but had had a very hard life and all the plastics were chooched/ missing various bits. As things happen, I came across a much tidier one on Waiheke Island that made its way into my shed. Pretty cool, all original with black plate and front basket but not running.
Popular Post Shakotom
Yanked the motor out of the red one, and swapped it into the white one, spent too much time on Instagram and ended up spending some coin to import some bits to make the jog cooler. sourced some bits from Yahoo Japan -8inch wheels (OEM is 10inch) -UnderCowl and Rear spoiler from Japan -OEM Yamaha Jog floormat -repro lower rear side panels Then lowered to a inappropriate ride height, and purchased a sweet helmet to suit the style.

Shakotom
Back in July, I had this nugget come into my collection. pretty rough/incomplete Z50 clone. I liked monkeys and this one popped up in budget Fitted a YX140 and a few other bits too it to make it rideable and this was it at peak nuggetness rode it a couple of times and thought it was cool but too cramped for me/didn’t turn out the way I’d envisioned it so pulled the motor back out and flicked the rest.
Popular Post Shakotom
Literally the day after selling the clone Z50, I got a message from a mate -Hey I’ve got a rough Z50J sitting here that I only bought for the motor, wanna buy the rolling frame? Slept on it for the night and thought ah, it’s an actual Honda Z50, let’s do it properly this time. Got it home, and assembled it to a rolling frame. Put it in the corner of the shed while I placed a couple of orders for various bits and pieces and waited for them to turn up. then assembled. Ended up with backdated 4L tank, 8x3.50 alloy wheels, undercowl, alloy foot peg covers, Windsheild, lowering the suspension a bunch, fork brace to lower the front guard, OEM style tail light and frame extension. Fairly happy with how this has turned out this time, and it’s at about as far as I can get it during this lockdown. - need access to a welder/vice to make rear indicator mounts. Keyring Details.
Shakotom
With those being ‘done’, I dug another FR50 frame out of my stash and bought it home to make a start on. I need another two stroke scooter to keep the balance in the shed right. stay tuned.
Shakotom
With a bit of massaging, trimming and drilling, got the new motor mounted into the frame Still need to add some reinforcing once I get access to welder again

Kimjon
Epic thread. I've jumped around in here randomly reading some pages before, but this morning I finally read it from start to finish...so cool!
Shakotom
Had new bars for monkey turn up yesterday while I was sick at home sweet tiny narrow things, pretty stoked on them Now I think it looks a bit wack / fronts too high for the bars. considering lowering headlight/fork badge so the windshield top is same height/lower then the bars
Mop Head
It actually looks good. As fuck. You picky bastard. Angling the windshield back ever so slightly would change it a lot as opposed to lowering it. I struggled with that on my Chooley. Windscreen should be the highest point anyway for mad tucking and overtaking after drafting. Leave it for a week and see if it grows on you.

Shakotom
Ages ago, I acquired a Dax frame. I started assembling it as a adventure bike prior to building the Suzuki Adv50. It ended up being put together with CT90 bits that I had kicking around, but got shelved due to issues with the fork steerer length and fuel tank capacity being minimal.
