Hi,

long time no update again.

ADV50 did TeUruweraAdvRide fine with no hiccups.

Well except for blowing the fork seals and leaking all the oil out, so by the time we got to Motu pretty much had no compression movement, only droop. And rear brake getting a bit grabby.

Then thanks to my Scooter Dealer @Raizer, I had a old and pretty rough CE50 27v Jog turn up at my work.

(pictured next to my old FZR250) The jog ran but had had a very hard life and all the plastics were chooched/ missing various bits. As things happen, I came across a much tidier one on Waiheke Island that made its way into my shed.

Pretty cool, all original with black plate and front basket but not running.

Back in July, I had this nugget come into my collection.
pretty rough/incomplete Z50 clone. I liked monkeys and this one popped up in budget

Fitted a YX140 and a few other bits too it to make it rideable and this was it at peak nuggetness

rode it a couple of times and thought it was cool but too cramped for me/didn’t turn out the way I’d envisioned it so pulled the motor back out and flicked the rest.

Had new bars for monkey turn up yesterday while I was sick at home

sweet tiny narrow things, pretty stoked on them

Now I think it looks a bit wack / fronts too high for the bars.

considering lowering headlight/fork badge so the windshield top is same height/lower then the bars

It actually looks good. As fuck. You picky bastard. Angling the windshield back ever so slightly would change it a lot as opposed to lowering it. I struggled with that on my Chooley. Windscreen should be the highest point anyway for mad tucking and overtaking after drafting.

Leave it for a week and see if it grows on you.

A+ work thomas!, id also agree with angling it back if the cables will allow it

and some permanent purple underglows!

Ages ago, I acquired a Dax frame. I started assembling it as a adventure bike prior to building the Suzuki Adv50.

It ended up being put together with CT90 bits that I had kicking around, but got shelved due to issues with the fork steerer length and fuel tank capacity being minimal.
