Hey mate

If you Dig up my build on my escort, I made brackets up to suit the Nissan calipers, but my discs where bigger.

There are some pics in there that might help

Cheers

ROB

Cheers Rob.

Things would be Easter if I had gone for a bigger disc.....but I'll see what I can do.

A decent 2 1/2 inch exhaust system will be fine for a 1g without sneaky oil system mods. My kp was running a mandrel bent 2 1/2 and it was making an honest 245kw.

I expect somewhere around 280 wheel kw a 3 inch system would be netting decent gains. But your 1G will give up its #6 big end bearing at that power level.

Sweet .

I did read a post you had made on the oil system mods.

I wouldnt mind getting anither engine and build that from scratch with all the oil system properly.

Will that not get real crap/restricted air flow? Or does it not matter being a turbo?

Should be OK man it will have an air feed going to the air bix once I get a bonnet.

And the air feed opening in the air box for the turbo is 80mm x220mm funnelled down to 3 ".

And I didn't want a pod filter.

Fine Sir, A ford telstar thermostat top cover will bring much cooling system happiness if you want a radiator with the top hose on the drivers side.

If however you want the top hose on the passengers side please ignore.

All i did was take the old thermostat cover and go shopping at super cheap for thermostat gaskets.. the closest i found which gave a better angle i think was from a pre 1990 4 cylinder telstar. Who knows what sort of motor they have in them.. it did need the mount holes hooned out slightly but works sweet as...

Probably a pic in my 1G starlet thread.
