Ive got a tappered reamer that I used to ream out the Capri struts to fit the Sierra steering arms. I think they are bigger than escort.

Its a funny tool as its not an automotive tapper so just happened that part of the tapper ramp was the correct taper for what I was doing.

16x7" Mondeo rims that have had the offset changed to around +10ish (I have not measured though)

Thanks for the offer Mr Trips.. But at this point im unsure as to how much room there will be and want to stay 15" or smaller.

Nice work on the front cradle , good old por15 . Do you brush it on or spray it ?Was very lucky at my previous job to build all those parts and use the machinery after hours. Ive now changed jobs though :/

Cheers man .

I just brush it on ....love the stuff ..if it weathered the sun I would be tempted to brush a whole car in it haha.

Yes there's a lot to be said for have machinery at work..I would sweep floors if it meant there was a place I could have accsess to them .......ih and someone to show me what yhe fuck im doing.haha

I reckon the brush works best , tried spraying it and was a nightmare and wasted a lot of paint and its not cheap -_-

Look forward to seeing your cradle all painted !

would be nice once I get my own place to buy some machinery so I can do it all from home.... one day ! gotta finish that race car first

Good progress man, I do wonder if its worth the ball-ache to make the CAS work with the turbo head.

I suspect the n/a head is likely to net near identical results with about 10% the effort! (Having run both n/a and turbo heads on a turbo set-ups)

I do have a compete n/a head I bought for the cams....but was saving that for the motor I'm going to build.

.

Once the CAS is all mounted to the head is that not the end of the ball ache?

Nah you are good to go now, i think the turbo oil feed lines in the head are not that great (could lead to camshaft oil starvation?) so i chose to run one from oil sender.

Funny you say that....I made up an adapter and oil feed from the sender as a spear in case I chose to run the n/a head.

you may want to check your rack before you go too much further

front steer escort) rack mounted behind the axle line, will go the wrong way

Its mounted the same way as it is in an escort....just behind the cross member as the steering arms on the cortina face backwards.

And doing it this way keeps all the cortina factory steering geometry the same.
