d.p.n.s
Hay Gaz was it you that said you had the tool for drillibg steering arms out for escort tie rod ends?
Gaz
Ive got a tappered reamer that I used to ream out the Capri struts to fit the Sierra steering arms. I think they are bigger than escort. Its a funny tool as its not an automotive tapper so just happened that part of the tapper ramp was the correct taper for what I was doing. d.p.n.s
Oh true. Cheers for that I think I might actually have something that will do the job as it doesn't need to be much bigger.

mjrstar
Good progress man, I do wonder if its worth the ball-ache to make the CAS work with the turbo head. I suspect the n/a head is likely to net near identical results with about 10% the effort! (Having run both n/a and turbo heads on a turbo set-ups)

(Having run both n/a and turbo heads on a turbo set-ups) I do have a compete n/a head I bought for the cams....but was saving that for the motor I'm going to build. . Once the CAS is all mounted to the head is that not the end of the ball ache?
mjrstar
Nah you are good to go now, i think the turbo oil feed lines in the head are not that great (could lead to camshaft oil starvation?) so i chose to run one from oil sender.

Funny you say that....I made up an adapter and oil feed from the sender as a spear in case I chose to run the n/a head.
cletus
you may want to check your rack before you go too much further front steer (escort) rack mounted behind the axle line, will go the wrong way
d.p.n.s
you may want to check your rack before you go too much further front steer escort) rack mounted behind the axle line, will go the wrong way Its mounted the same way as it is in an escort....just behind the cross member as the steering arms on the cortina face backwards. And doing it this way keeps all the cortina factory steering geometry the same.
