Bearings for the 8ba are easier and cheaper to get and it has the normal shell big end bearings, and modern bellhousing, also it has one pice valve guide and straight stem valves, SBC valves will fit right in, fingers crossed it’s still good inside.

Also acquired this today, was running earlier in the week. Hopefully it is Merc size - came from a Merc and has 8CM heads.

Sweet , that’s the golden idol if it’s a Mercury, I see it’s got a triple carb manifold, that thing will eat up the road, ditch the auto I reckon
