I'm in a similar boat as my rear brakes are too powerful/big and I have to turn them almost completely off using a proportioning valve. I think I'm going to check out AW11 MR2 rear calipers or maybe AE82 etc. I saw a fairly modern volvo something something that had a really nice light looking alloy caliper on the rear with handbrake attached. I've used 200SX ones on my project.
RUNAMUCK
Actually many nissans have rear disc including handbrake. I think I have a complete rear set up from a u12 bluey you could have for a box.

I think it's a Mazda 626/Telstar front disc. About 270mm dia and 10mm thick. I've had the calipers for ages so I'm not sure what the supply is like. Transom
Nissan Maxima rear calipers with handbrake included used to be the go for hilux rear disc conversions
NickJ
270mm is the diameter i'm working with, going to check out Bart's supply if he can dig them out, but the other options all sound findable
RevDWC
Do you know if the mounting on the Niva diff is the same as the sedan one?

kws
I need to drill out a stud in my exhaust so I can fix a leaky flange (big fuck you mazda for using a pressed in stud instead of a nut and bolt). My cheap drill bits don’t even scratch it. Where can I get good drill bits (without paying a fortune) and what should I look for? Mine were just a cheap set of HSS (allegedly) ones from repco. Needs to be done on car with a cordless drill so no fancy drill press.
ajg193
Any chance you can hit it with a propane torch to anneal it?
