sidewaysickness
There was talk of clay bird shooting up the mot valley somewhere but I can't find any info on the googles.

GMH63
That is very cool indeed. One day mine wil be that tidy. Is that one local? Re clay bird shooting i have a mate that is part of the gun club. Will ask him see if he can aim us in the right direction.
sidewaysickness
I just looked up the clay bird prices at cable bay. Looks like around $60 a head. I can imagine Alex back peddling pretty damn fast right about now.
yoeddynz
Yeah screw that. I'll bring my air pistols and just play loud bang noises on my headphones for effects.
yoeddynz
So I changed the title but we need to set a date. Can't be the weekend of 21/22 because the Nelson car club has got a Hillclimb race event going on up the Riwaka hill then. Always a good one to go watch btw! Â Maybe the weekend after that? If anyone else has deas or info on claybird shooting clubs then let us know. Would be good to have it somewhere that involves a fairly decent drive out so it could be further afield than the Cable bay lot.
sidewaysickness
I guess you have locked in the clay bird shooting then. As we all know it will be waaay cheaper to do this privately. I don't know anyone with the setup though

I don't know anyone with the setup though  Probably not a great time of year to do it privately as all shot gun enthusiasts will be duck shooting at the moment. Still something I'd like to do! sidewaysickness
YeS this is true. I found that out while out running the dog in the weekend. I think we keep this in mind and organize it for a different meet.
yoeddynz
Yeah its fine by me. Change the title if you like.. I was just updating it so it was more relevant. Â So ideas for our next run on a postcard please. Send to OS nelson, Private bag SA22AW11, Nelson. Â How about an oldschool run to St Arnaud and we all take mountain bikes and ride the trails there

Willdat?
keen to go check out that hill climb, are you going to go for a look Alex?  Isaac had a ride with Gary Donaldson in his M3 on a frosty/icy morning on that hill climb, said it was the scariest drive of his life. sidewaysickness
It's definitely worth a look. Last year I was well impressed with the old boy in his BDA Escort. Fuck he could drive! Let's face it, who doesn't like BDA induction in the mornings?

Let's face it, who doesn't like BDA induction in the mornings? Â I flag marshaled the Nelson rally a few years back, and the BDAs through the forest were epic compared to the multitude of antilag banging 4WDs. The Hayabusa powered Starlet sounded cool too. I'm sure it will be at the hill climb.

I'm keen, but not 100% yet - will stick it on the calendar.
yoeddynz
Id like to be there...considering how damn close it is. But me and the neighbour are going to take the opportunity of the closed road that day to take down some of the trees on the side of the road. If we get them down quick I might pop up. Ive only ever watched it from the bottom and wouldnt mind seeing it from the top where they must really open up the speed! The last few corners must be very quick indeed! Â Yeah you guys should meet there and watch it. It will have the usual selection of random old race cars from the nelson vintage club too. What always amazes me is the speed of that tiny homebuilt austin special driven by the old fella from chch. He often gets one of the fastest times of the day. Very good driver!
