oldnrusty Posted June 25, 2015 Author Share Posted June 25, 2015 Got my tank seal kit form Union paints in Newtown, but yeah shouldnt be that hard to find, think Ive seen it on Trademe aswel Ordered a couple of other things aswel, that Id forgotten about.... Old gear lever was flogged out more than your dads arse hole. Couldn't find a GN400 one, so just got a cheap Taiwan special to fit a Suzuki and will cut to up to suit, old one on the left - new one on the right. And some heat wrap CAM00447 by Hayden Rowe, on Flickr Sprayed the bar clamps (not on in this photo), and have set the rear shock bump stops up aswel, Because I dont want to compromise on looks, even when parked/without riders weight, its running fairly tight tire-to-guard gap, results in about 23mm of shock travel haha, but that relates to around 2 inches (maybe 1 1/2) of wheel travel, hopefully this is ok for WOF, If its not guess I can swap the factory ones in for WOF Havent had it under its own weight yet to see how much it drops by but should be bugger all with the new YSS's, being that there for a Dyna Glide weighting 300kgs wet. Will lower it around 130-150mm, would like to have 100mm of fork leg below bottom tree, which might mean ill still have to slide sum tube up the clamps but no more than 20mm, will see how they lower,Also will try to take step by step photos for peeps wanting to know how, no promises haha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The bigger tires are just touching the rear drum brake arm. Should be an easy fix, doesnt need alot of clearance. Cut up the new gear lever, and welded on the old arm. Now clamps tight on the shaft, [insert jokes about mothers and or teen daughters here] Finally re welded the foot pegs, after fucking them up and having them fold up the wrong way, [face palm] Good job Noticed while its been sitting on this box, as i keep adding parts the bikes got more and more balanced Dont real know if that mean dick, but yeah, cool story Mums (real mum) over from Ozzie next week, Ive taken a week off work, might try and lower the front end if I get a day where we arn't doing anything. that is all. 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
