danger
Fair call, I dig some of your ideas. I was planning on doing my oil lines in copper like that. My bike will be more rat than shiny though

danger
Ebay. "Harddrive" brand. Seemed a lot cheaper than the others so hopefully not too shit.

danger
Still gotta make a jig so I can redo the steering neck first. Need to buy some steel.
Lord Gruntfuttock
This bike will no doubt be covered in a mix of imperial and metric when finished due to ease of supply.Mine's the same. Found many metric sizes were perfect for tapping out fooked imperials - where some PO had apparently hammered the bolt in sideways with a monkey wrench... Chris.QCR
Haha mine is the same !! Tell you what I love about OS . The amount of Ironheads on here ! And they are all different styles !
SOHC
I had to tap my ironheads gearbox and primary drain plugs metric as someone had stripped them
Lord Gruntfuttock
That's very common. I tapped mine out to M14 fine (1/2" drill bit) to suit standard Suzuki magnetic drain plug. I use a new crush washer every time...
SOHC
Those old school Harley guys have big arms and only have long 1/2" powerbars
danger
Bit the bullet and cut off the neck tube. It was the wrong diameter, I was gonna sleeve it and use different sized bearings but after measuring it I found the ID was quite elliptical.  So decided to make a jig to do it all properly. Getting a new neck tube lathed up out of some hollow bar. Got some alloy spacers the right diameter to hold the neck tube square on some threaded rod.  Will be fully adjustable as I doubt this is the last bike I'll build.  When completed the jig will be available to borrow by anyone who's not a dick
danger
New neck tube lathed up out of some hollow bar. Â Jig almost done, ran out of CO2 to do the steering neck part. Seems square enough... Â

Not sure how it'll sit with the 6" over forks, I want the bottom rails to sit fairly square with the pavement
