Ned
You could use some CA instead of woodglue if you want to speed the process up a bit...?
flyingbrick
Be very careful as CA can make the wood very hard..you can end up with ridges of glue while sanding

JR
Getting there slowly, Iv been doing 2-4 strips a day lately. According to my calculations, at my current rate of progress it should be ready for the wee fellas 21st haha. There is no screaming hurry as hes only 2 and a half at the moment. The uneven scrapy parts at the top of this pic will be planned and sanded off, the very back part will be made up of a small solied shaped piece of Rimu The strips that are curved in 2 directions have to be tapered to fit snug so it takes a bit longer than you might think. Edit.. A few more planks on.

Steelies
awesome man! are you stoked that you now have to strip plank the whole thing to match the lush rear end? or were you going to do that anyway..
JR
Haha, Im think I'm going to glass then paint the rest of it and just polish and coat in resin the rear end. I'm thinking about strip planking the parts on the bonnet that are missing at the moment and leaving them unpainted too... I'll see. Does anyone have hook ups for cheap road tyres in ch? I'm really keen to put some on, even if they are well used/fucked I'd be keen? They are 17" rims. Cheers.
Muncie
Surely some spacesaver tyres would actually be ideal for this? Cheap good to 80ks.... perfect.
