bobdylan
Quickie answer needed please, i have "Lost" my 70mm Trumpets for my silvertop and need a urgent replacement, have a set of blacktop stock ones, will they fit? Can they be made to fit?
Vintage Grumble
The ID of the black top ones is a few MM bigger, but I think the bolt spacing is the same.
Truenotch
Nah, the bolt spacing is different between the two, so they won't fit.

Rhyscar
Hey Markku correct me if I'm wrong (only because your old man has millions of this stuff lying around) but silvertop trumpets is same bolt pattern as dellorto carbs for trumpets eh? may make it slightly easier to find a suitable trumpet at short notice.. Nope, they're different. I was going to modify a set of his Dellorto ones to suit my setup but CBF'd and just used the old ones instead. You can normally slot the holes to suit if you're using metal trumpets, but the plastic trumpets have inserts to allow the bolts to tighten properly and I don't think there's enough meat to move them inwards.
