SCARE! Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 I hacked the mangled rear guard off a bit, will leave it there with the standard brake light until I sort other things (get it going again), then I will get onto a side mount maybe.. I chucked a rack on (which holds a box of beers perfect, with room for a baseball bat, a skateboard, or even an extra ho if don't mind riding three-up). Mocked up the struts for the back too. 200mm eye to eye seems the go.. Will get some 20x20mm box section for those. Probably gonna make a little pillion pad type seat.. 3 Quote
hmmmnz Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 looks cool, i hope your arn't thinking of going hard tail?? we had an old one that was hard tailed, but being as light as they are you always end up taking them off road, and sure enough end up popping tyres and bending rims not to mention bending the frame mounts, any way, looking forward to progress pics Quote

I've got an XL100 for off road, and am building a SL100 for the beach too, so it ain't going there.. And even if I fucked it, I got a bunch of parts to replace shit 1 Quote
Steelies Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 choice. any desire to use something a little classier than box section for rear 'struts'? perhaps turnbuckles or tube and rod ends or some such i guess cheap is key but ya know... Quote
Cullen Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Just do what I did and paint the box section haha classy as 1 Quote
