Spent the day messing around with my 125.

Finally got it to throw a spark with new coil, points, condensder and spark plug.

Chuck some fuel through and nothing. Check carb and it's dry, strip rebuild and replace and it leaks fuel from every where it possibly can!

Despite this I did get it almost turning over and it chuffed a bit of smoke but I'm still annoyed.

Might look at getting a new carb.

I got parts back yesterday. Overall happy how they turned out.

Powder covers a lot so very minimal prep is required to make it look ok.

Everything was coated in zinc to prevent rust first.

Not sure if I'd get other frames coated in the future.

I've also ordered heaps of parts from partsfish.

I've started reassembly on the bits I can like centre stand. I'll have to strip the rear swing arm and get it powder coated to match frame as it looks shit in comparison.

Done a terrible masking job and sprayed the discolored engine today. Definitely going to paint the rest of the engine silver as oppose to polishing some parts.

Desperate to get shit done before summer is over.

Looks good.

Any reason you wouldn't get a frame powder coated again?

Interested to know.

I feel like a good prime and paint would be as good. Worried about how it's going to look if/when the powder chips.

And you can't do any "touch ups" if something does happen.

Got the engine In the frame today. Started on the air box too but didn't get a pic of that.

I didn't paint the cylinder head. Looks like oil all over it but it's not. I.Will paint the side cover too I think. Not a fan of the raw alloy look.

I also fitted some smaller alloy foot pegs but due to them not actually being for my bike they don't fold well... And the bracket for the frame has been powder coated so I can't hit it with the grinder for a better fit.

I'll post a pic of them tomorrow.

Still waiting for a few bits and pieces to turn up. Waiting is more painful than pulling teeth.
