ODB
Its dying specifically when it has run for 10 mins plus and got hotter. Seems peppy lower down etc but def bogging hard at WOT. Will try adjusting clip to highest level - but my (rudimentary) understanding is that this only really effect up to about 3/4 throttle and WOT is the jet size?
ODB
Alrighty started pulling carb apart and became apparent last person to work on it had lost clip that was holding air intake on. Hence air intake was off and this was covered by black electrical tape. No doubt contributing to it running like a bag of dicks. So rooted around in my shed and found this - knew i ordered one ages ago: Far thicker than the old one, its flexible and seals both ends. MKD
clip at highest level will be needle at lowest level, you want needle at the highest level, so clip at the lowest groove. im sure that's what you meant though I could be jets, but see if the needle raised as high as I can makes a difference. although saying that, the plug colour chart posted a couple post back says my plug is perfect? it still dies at WOT after a while and have to milk it (choke on, gently throttle as not to stall it) till it picks itself back up again. it could be even as simple as the carb bowl draining and not refilling quick enough at WOT? check your fuel/filters lines aren't blocked and your float height is right

BlownCorona
looks like it sitting too far foward and angle up? whats it like if you unbolt and and sit it another inch or so back?
ODB
Yeah it's not perfect but sitting in 4/6 holes there. The ones that connect to engine are about an inch out mate. I'll have a play and if I need to drill more holes so be it. Needs to come off to sort carb anyways
